After months and months of hard work, Thursday night finally witnessed the birth of Grolsch & LWLies Presents, with screenings of Edgar Wright’s Scott Pilgrim vs. The World in eight cinemas nationwide.

Most of Team LWLies was at the Curzon Soho, where Edgar himself rocked up for a post-screening Q&A. Among other gems, We learnt that when Quentin Tarantino’s old video store went bust, he bought up the entire catalogue of VHS tapes and now has them stored in four rooms at home, and how Edgar hooked up with Beck for the Scott Pilgrim soundtrack. Audience questions touched on everything from filming in Toronto to a pitch for a Spaced movie about how Brian hooked up with Vulva.

The after-bash in the bar was enlivened by perfectly poured Grolsch, free cheese and Streetfighter II ass-whuppings on the big screen.
