Happy Birthday Little White Lies

TCOLondon film magazine LWLies celebrated its fifth birthday with an in-office party for friends, contributors and colleagues on Friday night.

At a time when independent magazines have been suffering in the market place, it’s a real achievement for LWLies to reach its half-decade point with editorial integrity and originality intact.

The magazine’s style may only appear to have evolved slowly over the years, but LWLies has undergone momentous changes in this time, not least giving birth to TCOLondon.

We’ve seen our reach expand from a small-time player in a crowded market to become the UK’s leading independent film magazine, offering a credible alternative to the mainstream and championing cinema’s most distinctive voices.

The party saw some of the magazine’s most important collaborators get together for the evening. TCOLondon prides itself on creating a family atmosphere around its publications, and the birthday vibes in our office on Friday night were testament to the friendships we’ve made over the last five years.

Here’s to the next half-decade…
