Alex Wade is a writer, freelance journalist and occasional media lawyer. He is the author of Surf Nation: In Search of the Fast Rights and Hollow Lefts of Britain and Ireland and Wrecking Machine: A Tale of Real Fights and White Collars. Alex lives in the far west of Cornwall and writes a weekly column for The Times on all things coastal. In February 2009, Alex was nominated as Sports Feature Writer of the Year in the Sports Journalists’ Association’s annual awards.
