The Church of London is a creative agency motivated by passion – for publishing and design, for writing and filmmaking, for staging parties and exhibitions, and engaging with communities of like-minded people.
From our offices in East London, TCOLondon’s in-house team works alongside a vibrant network of contributors and collaborators on Huck, Little White Lies and a wide range of projects for clients around the world.
Role
A unique two-month internship opportunity exists to join the team at TCOLondon as a publishing intern. This unpaid role involves assisting with the everyday running of the office and online shop, including administration, marketing requests, subscription mail-outs and other tasks. The ideal applicant will be an enthusiastic graduate who:
- is organised and friendly, with superior communication skills and lots of initiative.
- is passionate about magazines and interested in learning different aspects of independent publishing, including administration, marketing, production and office management.
- has prior office experience, particularly in publishing or marketing. Customer service/retail experience would also be a bonus.
- is comfortable using spreadsheets/Google Docs. While we make a point of familiarising interns with a variety of programs, prior knowledge and experience is a definite plus.
- is ready to start in early April. We ask for a two-month, full-time commitment, with an initial two-week period to assess progress. (Please specify any major scheduling restrictions in your cover letter).
Please note this is not a journalism/design internship. The role would suit someone London-based who is interested in magazine publishing and seeking experience in a busy creative agency.
