Little White Lies 44 asks you to pledge allegiance to Paul Thomas Anderson's spiritual post-war drama, 'The Master', which stars Philip Seymour Hoffman, Joaquin Phoenix and Amy Adams.

The entire issue has been conceived as a response to the film's core themes of cult, kinship and duality; from graphic artist Siggi Eggertsson's schizophrenic cover portrait to the red/blue colour scheme that accentuates the multidimensionality of the design.

Inside we've gone PTA loco with an intimate look at Hollywood's most enigmatic filmmaker, while Anderson's long-time producing partner JoAnne Sellar gives us the 411 on his creative process. Elsewhere we chat to the master himself Philip Seymour Hoffman; celebrate the tangible joys of 70mm, Anderson's film stock of choice; speak to the ex-cult members battling for the hearts and minds of their former colleagues; and showcase the macabre masterpieces of pop surrealist Mark Ryden.

Plus there's all the latest theatrical reviews for November/December and interviews with 'Sightseers' stars Alice Lowe and Steve Oram, 'Alps' director Yorgos Lanthimos and 'Seven Psychopaths' director Martin McDonagh.
