LWLies Parties

Over five years and 27 issues we’ve hosted LWLaunch parties every other issue.

We pick the venues, man the guestlists, play records, secure a drinks sponsor, and brand the events. For our 2008 Christmas party we even baked 300 cakes, one for each guest, all topped with an edible LWLies logo. When This is England made its way into cinemas in 2007, we invited the film company, the cast, their brothers, mums, dads and uncles down to celebrate with us. Teaming up with Universal Records and Optimum Releasing, and ably supported by Warp Records’ finest DJs, we managed to sneak in the (mostly) underage cast and have a great time.
